Teen Not Laughing Now After Pushing ‘Friend’ Off 60-Ft Bridge Last Week As A Joke

One 16-year-old Washington teenager is lucky to be alive after being pushed off of a 60 ft. bridge last week. The bridge that is located near Moulton Falls is a hot spot for people to hang out at and even though it is against the law many still jump off of the bridge there.

While her “friend” thought that pushing her off of the bridge was going to be a funny joke might learn the hard way that her stupid actions just cost her. The 18-year-old, Taylor Smith, hasn’t seemed remorseful for her actions and did not even visit her friend in the hospital after she was the one who sent her there. Smith has gone on with her life as though nothing happened.

She only sent a simple text apologizing for the incident that almost took someone’s life. Is that really enough? Will she get the karma that she deserves?

According to Fox News, A woman linked to a 16-year-old’s 60-foot plunge off a Washington state bridge last week — resulting in serious injuries to the teen — is cooperating with investigators, authorities said Tuesday.

The 18-year-old woman had her case sent to the Clark County Prosecutor’s Office to determine whether she will face charges, the Clark County Sheriff’s Office said.

The woman has not yet been charged with a crime, FOX12 Oregon reported.

A video showed the teen, Jordan Holgerson, being pushed off a bridge near Moulton Falls in Vancouver, Wash., while having second thoughts about jumping into the Lewis River. The fall gave Holgerson five broken ribs and punctured both of her lungs after she belly-flopped into the water, the Columbian of Clark County, Wash., reported.

“In the air, I was trying to push myself forward so I could be straight up and down so that my feet hit first, but that didn’t really work,” she told FOX12. “In the air, I think I might have fainted, but when I hit the water, I was definitely awake and aware.”

Dr. MaryClare Sarff, a doctor at the hospital where Holgerson was treated, told the station that the teen was lucky to survive the 60-foot drop. She said people often don’t survive from 25-foot falls.

Jordan is now home from the hospital and recovering from her injuries she sustained after her fall and although she said that she is not intending to press charges against her friend who pushed her, she still might be getting charged once the prosecutor’s office decides what to do.

Although the teen probably thought the result of pushing her in her friend into the water was going to be harmless, some sort of punishment is probably in-line here. What kind of punishment do you think Taylor deserves from pushing Jordan off the bridge?
