A 27-year-old Democratic staffer was arrested by Capitol Police in Washington, D.C. this week after he “allegedly posted private, identifying information (doxxing) about one or more United States Senators.” The staffer’s name is Jackson Cosko.
As you probably recall, last Thursday numerous Senate Judiciary Republicans were doxxed last week, their home addresses and private phone numbers posted on Wikipedia for the world to see. Was it a coincidence that the Republicans were doxxed not long after Republican Senator Lindsey Graham unleashed hell on Senate Democrats for the way they went after Kavanaugh, like a pack of rabid dogs? Not likely.
Those Republicans who were doxxed by Cosko include Republican Senator Mike Lee, Republican Senator Orrin Hatch, and Republican Senator Lindsey Graham, as reported by the Washington Times.
Jackson Cosko, who is described as a “cyber-security graduate student” on his LinkedIn page, was taken in by Capitol Police.
Chad Pergram tweeted, “In alleged Senate doxing incident, USCP charge Jackson Cosko with Making Public Restricted Personal Information. Witness Tampering, Threats in Interstate Communications, Unauthorized Access of a Government Computer, 2nd Degree Burglary & Unlawful Entry.”
Cosko spent time working for Democratic Representative Sheila Jackson Lee, Democratic Senator Maggie Hassan, as well as retired Demotraic Senator Barbara Boxer.
It wasn’t long ago that he penned a letter for Representative Sheila Jackson Lee.
